Supermodel Christy Turlington revealed that her son Finn's high school basketball opponents passed around her nude modeling photo as a "heckling tactic" during an interview with Harper's Bazaar published on Wednesday (April 24).

“I was surprised it hadn’t happened sooner,” she said.

Turlington, 55, who was described by longtime Vogue magazine creative director Grace Coddington as "the most beautiful woman in the world," said she didn't "feel embarrassed about anything" in relation to the actions taken by the "rude" teenagers, adding that, "regretting things is a waste of time." The supermodel also confirmed that her son's school got involved in the scandal.

Turlington said she views herself as a "shy person" who is "quiet and studies people" during the Harper's Bazaar interview, despite having been one of the most recognizable models in the world at the height of her career in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

“I’m really happy that I don’t [have to see],” she said. “I can’t say that I’m Teflon. I’m sure if I did read something that was pointed or mean, it would hurt me in the same way.

“But I also try not to give that much attention to any of it.”

Turlington, who recently appeared at London Fashion Week alongside fellow legendary supermodels Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford, all of whom were featured on the AppleTV+ docuseries The Super Models, said she still does modeling work "here and there" but multiple days of shooting are "too much" for her to handle now.
